The Arkansas Audubon Society List of Arkansas Birds

This Arkansas birds list provides an up-to-date listing of all bird species identified within the state. It was compiled by Charles Mills, an Arkansas bird records committee member, for the Arkansas Audubon Society’s May 2011 edition. There are 409 documented species in the state, as of May 15, 2011. The list uses an asterisk “*” to denote species that have been extirpated in Arkansas and a dagger “†” to denote species that are extinct.
